A Capela Town Council: tourist routes
Forgoselo route:
The route starts at O Curro do Forgoselo Leaving from As Neves for O Curro we take the detour to Vilardemouros and Calzados. The route passes by A Capela das Neves, Os Picos, Cobos, Barbela and Os Calzados. At 3´3 km we get to an intersection and we continue till Ameneiro, cross a canadian crossing and we arrive at a metal large door, here the way to get to O Curro is point out as “lugar de lecer”(resting place).
The route starts at O Curro do Forgoselo north-westerly direction, near to the enclosure. Pastures, gorses and blambles are varied. We go up an small hill, cross a pine-grove and go on until we arrive at a height where we can look at part of the mountain range. We find an small group of eucalyptus in our way (one of the few that there are at the top of the mountain range and the only we will find in our walk). Placed at the Tres Pés Hill, a curious stone whim of nature and erosion, we can look at a huge fields used to breed the calves of Forgoselo. From here we return to O Curro.
Leaving O Curro by A Capela road, at the first intersection we turn left following a ground runway till a platform where we take a trail on the right that we will follow until we get to Pico Ventoso, to go up to the summit (with little unevenness) we will turn left. We go down till the trail and following the ground runway you will arrive at Campos Verdes. If we continue this way we will arrive at a Capela road; on the right (O Curro direction) you can see Racamonde.
Going on the road which gets to O Curro, there is a detour on the left hand which point out “Forgoselo Aeolic Park”. The views from this way to Racamonde are marvellous: we can gaze at a big part of the mountain range, the area of As Pontes, the sea on the easterly, the Ferrol and Ares “rías”(sea-lochs)… There are an indication panel and a geodetic corner too. We return by the same way until the asphalt road. If we turn left and we go on, we will arrive at O Curro again.
