A Capela Town Council: tourist routes
Belelle river route:
This route goes by the riverside of Belelle, the track from Formariz to Cabalar.
We started our walk at the bridge of the river, where we can park our car and start walking up the river on the right side till Cuberto river, where the water flows under huge stones sedimented by the water. Then we find a small wood bridge that allow us to cross the river and go on with our walking enjoying the great vegetation and the quite that the calm waters of Belelle gives us at that track. In that way we arrive at Cabalar, where we will visit “Santa Mº de Cabalar” parish church.
From here we continue to an interesting work of hydro engineering that maintain in a good state his front elevation, that was restored recently. We can arrive here in two ways, going by the bitumed tracks passing by the harbour of Barreiro, or going by the riverside of Belelle, and then by the stream of A Graña. On this track we can see the mill of “O Barreiro” too, which is private property and one of the bigger constructions of that kind at the town council. And if you want to know more about these constructions you can visit the ethnographic museum of A Capela or follow the Route of the Mills
