A Capela Town Council: situation
Geograhy:
A Capela is an small town council (59 Km) in the region of the Eume, constituted by three parishes: Santiago de Capela, San Braulio and Santa María de Cabalar.
With a medium altitude of 450 m, its relies is organised in a succession of mountain ranges that divide the waters of the two rivers that cross it, the Eume and the Belelle.
The Eume and their feeders of great slope, place an unique
space in Europe: The “Fragas do Eume” national nature reserve.
The Belelle, whose feeders go down from “Serra do Forgoselo”,
cross the town council from east to west, forming a whole of valleys and
small forests. The whole, forms a landscape that constitutes an authentic
ecological reserve and, of course, sets the character and the way of life
of their inhabitants.
This important natural heritage needs preservation and value actions, working
in the interpretation of inhabitable landscapes and in the diffusion of
the rotaries that are set up.
